Join in the gratitude!

Just a reminder to our readers that the month of November will focus on thanksgiving. We would like very much for you to join with us as we give thanks this month.

Each Thursday, we will post your thankful thoughts. At any time, on any day, if you would like to share with us what you are thankful for, we would love it! Simply leave a comment to share, and on Thursday, we will post your thankful thoughts in a separate post.

Being thankful is so important. It's a way to allow Christ to shine through us.  For what are you thankful?

  1. Since no one likes to be first, and since Persis is posting this Wednesday, I shall start things off. I am thankful for central heating. The weather is getting colder, and as I read the journals of Lucy Maud Montgomery, who did not have central heating, I am thankful for mine!

  2. I'm thankful for very little swelling after the gum surgery I had yesterday. And no pain!

    1. I was wondering how your surgery went! Glad it wasn't too awful.

  3. I'm thankful for modern devices like washers and dryers. I'm thankful for friends who let you borrow their washer to finish your load of laundry when your washer breaks. And I'm thankful for appliance repairmen. It's easy to take these conveniences for granted.

    1. Yes! I had to use a laundromat for a while a few years ago, and it was vey inconvenient. Thankful your washer is working again.

  4. I am so very thankful for my children and their spouses who are walking in Truth and raising our grandkids in the fear and admonition of the Lord. When I consider that's what I prayed so hard for since before they were even born - it's a huge cause for thanksgiving - And especially considering how many mistakes I made!!!

    1. Thanks for sharing, Diane! I think most mothers want nothing more than to be able to say that!

  5. I'm incredibly thankful for a husband who loves God and is faithfully following Him. With so many marriages struggling and women who are married to unsaved men or men who aren't strong believers, I'm very thankful for the blessing of a godly husband. I don't want to take him for granted.
